I used this feature a lot and liked it very much.\r\n\r\nOn regular Mastodon, you have to send your first toot before you can start drafting the next one. Because I like to finish writing threads before I post them, I often use a workaround of composing my threads in my computer's notes app, then pasting individual toots in one at a time. This is kind of annoying to have to do. :(\r\n\r\nI think it would be very cool if Elk supported draft threads like on Twitter!\n\n### Suggested solution\n\nAdd a little \"add toot\" button when composing a toot, then allow some number of subsequent toots to be drafted before posting.\n\n### Alternative\n\n_No response_\n\n### Additional context\n\n_No response_",[3045],{"name":3020,"color":3021},1073,"Compose thread before sending","2023-03-13T21:54:55Z","https://github.com/elk-zone/elk/issues/1073",0.74382675,{"description":3052,"labels":3053,"number":3054,"owner":3023,"repository":3024,"state":3025,"title":3055,"updated_at":3056,"url":3057,"score":3058},"There's no UI affordance to the editor behavior where I can click-to-unmention someone in the reply. I was certain it would break me out of the reply editor and show the person's profile instead, so when the person was actually removed from the mentions with a click, that was a surprise. \r\n\r\nFor reference, Twitter's behavior is to open a modal \"Replying to\" dialog where any discussion participants other than the person being directly replied to can be unchecked.\r\n\r\n_Originally posted by @osmaa in https://github.com/elk-zone/elk/issues/1567#issuecomment-1413335877_\r\n ",[],1568,"Reply mention line click-to-remove needs an UI affordance that indicates click will remove","2023-02-02T17:38:49Z","https://github.com/elk-zone/elk/issues/1568",0.74471647,{"description":3060,"labels":3061,"number":3064,"owner":3023,"repository":3024,"state":3025,"title":3065,"updated_at":3066,"url":3067,"score":3068},"When a user replies to a toot, the reply is connected to the origin toot by a straight line. Cory does these Twitter-style megathreads where the current implementation breaks somewhat...\r\n\r\n- if there are no replies *other than* the thread itself, reorderedTimeline will sort them from 1/x to x/x correctly, but this will completely hog the timeline\r\n- if the thread has a title/content warning, every toot will still need to be clicked for Show more, one by one\r\n- and if any replies get inserted into the timeline, for example because of a boost (as in the screenshot), it will break the sort, as the reply and its boost will be more fresh than any of the original megathread toots\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nI would suggest that majority of the toots should simply be hidden from view on the timeline and directed toward the \"Show full thread\" page.
