\r\n\u003Cbr />\r\n\r\nI believe the Mastodon UI captured the correct intention here, which was to have a message displaying the tag as plain text. I totally get how it might be tricky to both support html tags and not strip invalid tags, I mostly just wanted to bring this up to other people's attention. If anyone has a strong argument to not support this, feel free to close it 😊 \r\n\r\nPossibly related to https://github.com/elk-zone/elk/issues/256\r\n",[2953],{"name":2868,"color":2869},346,"Should not remove arbitrary html-tag-like text","2022-12-20T00:23:13Z","https://github.com/elk-zone/elk/issues/346",0.77750665,{"description":2960,"labels":2961,"number":2963,"owner":2874,"repository":2875,"state":2935,"title":2964,"updated_at":2965,"url":2966,"score":2967},"### Clear and concise description of the problem\r\n\r\n[Edit: I'm sorry, I forgot to check before submitting this report. This is an expansion of #968.]\r\n\r\nI often use Mastodon on Firefox on desktop. I do have a touch-bar on my computer, which allows me to easily use emojis in many places, but Firefox doesn't support it. I was very happy that Mastodon made emojis pop up when you typed \":\", like in Discord. It would be very nice if Elk added this functionality.\r\n\r\nIt would also be really nice if typing \":\" + \"emoji_name\" + \":\" inserted any emoji, not just custom ones - an improvement on Mastodon. I really like how Discord does it.\r\n\r\nIn addition, Elk's emoji selection window, which works well as a workaround for this issue in many cases, does not seem to contain instances' custom emoji.\r\n\r\n### Suggested solution\r\n\r\nAdd instances' custom emojis to the emoji selection pop-up, and make it so that typing (for example) \":heart\" will pull up the heart emoji to be clicked on, AND then typing \"\" with the final \":\" at the end will actually insert the heart emoji.\r\n\r\n### Alternative\r\n\r\nAdd Mastodon's level of functionality - just add instances' custom emojis to the emoji selection pop-up, plus make it so typing (for example) \":heart\" will pull up the heart emoji to be clicked on.\r\n\r\n### Additional context\r\n\r\n_No response_",[2962],{"name":2871,"color":2872},1077,"Emoji functionality","2023-01-13T15:19:32Z","https://github.com/elk-zone/elk/issues/1077",0.7832573,{"description":2969,"labels":2970,"number":2975,"owner":2874,"repository":2875,"state":2935,"title":2976,"updated_at":2977,"url":2978,"score":2979},"The default mastodon client is using a search request after each new letter when the word starts with `@`. https://mas.to/api/v1/accounts/search?q=de&resolve=false&limit=4\r\n\r\nSee masto.js docs: https://neet.github.io/masto.js/classes/AccountRepository.html#search",[2971,2972],{"name":2905,"color":2906},{"name":2973,"color":2974},"p: 1-normal","BFDADC",37,"Auto complete user handle when composing a post","2022-12-12T22:31:00Z","https://github.com/elk-zone/elk/issues/37",0.7840695,["Reactive",2981],{},["Set"],["ShallowReactive",2984],{"$fTRc1wZytZ_XrK4EfJfei_Sz-An4H4Yy6syhVxH_PVJc":-1,"$fiF3EcduAcWBeTFpnyyZvJ704KyNM87Ph6Mm1VuAVbro":-1},"/elk-zone/elk/3156"]
